Help SectionWhat is the purpose of the World Business Listings?World Business Listings allows you to search and view an extensive directory of businesses from across the world run by people of various nationalities. Most business directories index businesses by category and location while WorldBizList.com also indexes by business nationality. For example, if you were looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant in the Mississauga, Ontario area, you would be able to use our directory by entering the Japan nationality and Restaurant category options into the search engine. This will provide you with the available listings in that location.
How do I search for listings?Under the “Find a Business” tab, simply choose the nationality, category and/or location of the business for which you are searching or enter the keywords of your search into the Quick Search located to the left of the homepage.
Do I need an account in order to search the listings?No, you don’t.
Do I need an account in order to list my business?Yes, you do need to sign up for an account if you would like to post a listing for your business. You can do so by clicking the “List Your Business” tab and entering in your desired username and password in the “New Users Sign Up” box. You’ll then be prompted to enter information pertaining to the business you would like to list.
How do I sign into my account?On either the homepage or under the “List a Business” tab, enter your username and password into the login box. This will then allow you to manage all of your listings.
What if I forget my password?If you’ve forgotten your password, click the link underneath the sign in box on the homepage that reads “Forgot your password?” You’ll be asked to enter your username and your password will be sent to the e-mail address that is listed under your profile. If you did not enter an e-mail address when signing up for an account, your password will be lost.
How do I create a listing?Once you’ve signed into your account, choose the option “Create a new listing”. You’ll be asked for information concerning your business and contact information. Be sure to be specific when entering a description of your business. Enter in as many keywords as you think are relevant to your business with each keyword separated by a space. Once you’ve made your submission, your business listing will be verified and await approval.
How will I know if my listing has been approved?After your submission has been approved, you will receive an e-mail informing you that your listing has been approved and posted.
Is there a fee for having my business listed?There is a monthly fee of $2 CAN per month, which allows you up to three different combinations of nationality and category options. It will be automatically renewed every month. Monthly fees are non-refundable.
What if I need to change my business information?Once your listing has been approved, you may log into your account and edit any information as need be. All edits to your listing will need to be approved again.
What if I want to take down my listing? Will I be refunded for my monthly fee?You will be able to delete your listing while logged into your account, but monthly fees are non-refundable. |
